*HARTMAN WARD ROBE TRUNK*>cushion top<

Hi There *
im searching for further information on a 'steamer/wardrobe trunk' that was left to me by my granny..
on the name plate it reads:
" HARTMAN WARDROBE'
RACINE WI.
it is brown with a bit of a 'aztec' design. & only 1 lock toward the right front.& the lock is a 'YALE # H-5I7 WITH hartman on the lower name plate where the lock comes out of it..If any one has any information plz email me: [email protected].. thank yall..
i can try to take pic's with my camera phone if it would help...

weel yall i sure do thank you for all yer great information!
i went to that hartman site & sent a email to the C.S & told them what i was wanting to know..
they did a reply & the havd foreward my 'inquiry' to thei archieve dept, & just waiting to hear back from them..
I just wanted to update yall on whats goin on with this blasted trunk!

came across this a while back.

Info Gypsy gave you is good.

They put their name on it and made models for
different stores; think the plate I have was from
a model sold at Marshall Fields in Chicago.
