I have found many, many harmonica reeds but not like this. This was found on known CW ground but the only find in that time period was a flat button. This thing has the same oxidation as a lead bullet, and looks the same were I scratched it with a knife. It seems much harder than the lead I'm used to finding. Need an expert. What are your thoughts?

The metal is probably zinc sheetmetal, like old "Mason jar" lids.

I think it's not from a harmonica, because the reeds are father apart than we see on harmonica reeds. I'm not an expert of old musical instruments, but perhaps somebody will come along who knows this piece's ID.

Doesn't a squeeze box use a reed? Not sure what that looks like, but maybe someone will know.
