Hard wood club ???

I don't know what this is lol. My father picked it up at a yard sale 50 years ago it measures 12 1/2" long and 3 1/2" wide at the 8 Point top. I think i seen one simile to this on the antiques road show it had something to do with native American something. Any way it would be nice to know what it is or what it was used for. I thought of a tire checker for truckers, i know one thing it would be a good head knocker lol. Thank you regards Craig.

some native americans did have war clubs, this is not one of them. This was clearly made on a lathe. As to after that I'm not sure what its for. People in the wood turning community do make billy clubs and such. but it looks used, and I imagine not for smashing heads.

Someone's home made fish billy club? I kept one in my salmon boat, but it was just the butt end of an axe handle.

Does the wood feel heavier and denser than normal ?

Might be a ww1 trench club.Not much room in a trench for bayonet fighting so it was hand to hand,pistols,clubs,knives,etc,you name it.
