Metal Detecting
I finally got out after a long time away from detecting. Went back to the site that produced the 1724 Hibernia Halfpenny. A mixture of finds - colonial shoe buckle, 1884 IH, 1892 V-nickel, nice button, a "To ID Me Badge," and some others. The way the badge is supposed to look is underneath the one I found, it reads "To Identify Me Telegraph this number 55335 to the Fraternal Protective Association Boston, Mass May 16, 1899" on the front. The number on mine is 561. The reverse reads "Hospital Authorities Will Please Communicate with the Association"

sweet relics n coins!!!!! like the tag!!! MR TUFF

Great digs. Just proves once again that no place is ever hunted out.

The smaller, oval shaped item looks like a id tag, it may have the person's name on it. Way cool stuff there.

I think your right. I took a closer look at it and I was holding it upside down ::). There is an eagle flying over the two banners and I can read Steven on the first banner. The first pic shows it rightside up. The second pic shows where the writing is and where the banner lays. On the top of the second pic, you should be able to see the eagle very easily.
