The colonial site I discovered last year where I found my 8 reale, my 2 reale, and my KG3 has just yielded another Spanish silver. A 1782 half reale! Not the prettiest as it was folded over twice. I knew it was a coin when I was cleaning it off at home because of the ridges around it. I carefully unfolded it making sure not the break it in half! Finally I could see more detail and I could barely make out 1782! It is black and looks burned/melted. The site is running out of signals but this rain in SC definitely helped get more depth! Thanks for looking and HH!

We can't pick 'em, we just find 'em. Nice snag on the half R.

It amazes me how you guys can identify some of these finds. There certainly is a ton of experience on this site.

Good job:thumbsup:

Well done on the silver and the ID, the coin sure has been through a lot!

I agree it loks like it's been through a fire.
Still counts.
Good job straightening it out.
