So here's the scoop...we decide to go out to some new area to get some good sites for the season...and Mr man let me tell you these sites screamed french and Loyalist...so we see pottery in the field and bang 2 British musketballs and nothing else at all...field was extremely massive but tilled ...we walked the whole thing...we go to another spot and foundation was there from late 1700's...but they must have been very very poor...and again nothing...we walked well over 10 KM's with nothing to show for it...so we drive back and hit an old spot for our LAST HOUR and we couldn't drive the car in the field, so I detect where we usually park...musketballs, coin and buttons.....Then I go around the beat down grass where we were unable to detect last season and I get a dozen or more french musket balls and a complete initialed 1700's silver spoon...on the way back out i nail 2 six pound cannon balls about 100 feet apart...crazy what came out in an hour there..like a new site...

Now THAT is a banner hunt. A 200+ year old silver spoon and two cannonballs? Impressive! Congrats!!!

Love that spoon man. I have a pretty similar one. I think they're so damn cool. Looks like the bear has come out of hibernation....look out

Great finds!, that silver spoon is awesome and all the lead is great!

Thanks guys...winter was long enough... and this bear is hungry for good finds...will post as they come in....

Nice last hour! Love the cannon balls and the spoon.

Excellent hunt man! Two cannonballs and the spoon is quite old. Phew!

6.1 pounders?

Thought for sure those other sites were gonna pan out, was disappointing but the backup site sure didn't!
