Ladies and Gentlemen,
Just created an account and I saw the new member forum which said to say hi, so... Hi!
I'm new to the hobby but have equipped myself with some basic gear, enough to get started. I was worried I'd get bored with this but the more I dig the more exciting it is to go out. I've got a meager little collection of "treasures" started; my oldest coin so far is a penny from 1937, which is nothing to brag about but was still fun to find. And of course I've quickly "collected" plenty of foil and shredded aluminum, too. For a week or so the oldest item I'd found was one of the early pull tabs before the ring-pulls came out, which dated it to the early 60's. Had a good chuckle about that.
Anyway I'm a history enthusiast who has always loved a good puzzle and enjoy being outdoors. Excited to be on the forums. Not sure why I didn't get into doing this stuff sooner!
