I bought this microscope at a yard sale last summer for $4.00. I noticed the other day they were having another sale , so I stopped . The lady asked if I still had the microscope , I said "yes" . She went into the house and came out with the original box and instructions and gave them to me . :o

I found one in my 1927 Sears Catalogue

Re: Happy Brass Microscope

Wow that's a nice little antique. Very nice of the lady to give you the box and original paperwork, that alone is worth more than the $4 you spent!!

Re: Happy Brass Microscope

How thoughtful of the lady. Antiques like that are always more valuble when they come with the original box.

I wish I had seen this post before you listed it. One year ago I bought and sold a brass student microscope on ebay for $100. The buyer is a research scientist/professor up in canada. He wanted me to keep him in mind if I ever find other scientific instruments. Check your messages I am going to send you his ebay name. He might want to bid on it.

It sold for $73.00 :notworthy:
