Hank Jr.

A friend knows him and tell's me of time Hank and his detecting buddy were digging where a case of 3 ringers had been thrown from a wagon. The wooden box was gone but they were so excited about their find that they were tearing the paper from the bullets to see what they were........for a few seconds then they calmed down and started leaving the paper that was on the ones in the middle of the pile alone. He said he is a great guy and does love to detect and especially CW history...d2

I thought he was pretty cool before. One more thing in common.
Love to see his collection. Sure he gets the best permissions.

I bet he does too, David would tell me about that and laugh. Hank jr. getting as excited as I would to find a box of thrown ammo, tearing the paper off to see of they were all the same caliber. That's excited, that's me too. I one time had a 35 MM camera 5 steps from where my brother and I were digging, looking for points and such, when we found a stacked cache of 13 large pieces of flint with a preform blade sitting on top. In our excitement all we could do was take off a piece, rub on it and reach and get another one. Never thought about the camera till we started to leave. Morons, that was us...d2

I feel ya , the excitement can be to much , I forgot to get an 'in-situ' pic of the Barber Half I dug awhile back , then again it was covered in clay & I did not ID it til a few days later.

I recall reading either an interview or article by Hank Jr 'interview ' I'm pretty sure . In NSTCW , it was cool the Bocephus loved to Relic Hunt .
Just now thinking there was a famous Black Singer who loved to relic hunt I can not recall his name but most would recognize Him ( also in NSTCW).

Yr story has me excited.
