Handsaw Medallion w/ Eagle - help with Date

I recently found an old handsaw medallion with "WARRANTED SUPERIOR" marking and did some internet searching. Most of the eagle's I've come across were all pointing to the right (the eagle's right). Mine is pointing to the left (the eagle's left). I'm still searching for a date time period. Some hints indicate 1840's, 1880's and 1900. This is same size as a quarter. Anybody familiar with the date?
