Got permission yesterday to search the site of a long gone private church. The church was used long ago by a wealthy family. The site was surrounded by trees and covered with ground ivy. All that turned up though was lead, lots and lots of lead. The lead I think must have been from the church roof. One good find though did make an appearance late on. It's a large bronze handle from a Medieval chafin dish, these dishes were and still are used to keep food warm. These handles are not very common finds, only my second in 25 years, so well pleased.

Robert.
