I don't think it is a handle from a toy gun because all handles similar to that were on Cast Iron cap guns. Actually it looks like it is made out of lead to me, and it seems I can see some script on the top. We need a closer/clearer pic of that area. I was referring to toy guns made in the 1800s, these had lead handles.

Oh, you mean the PEWTER cap gun, I gotcha now. I realize pewter is a lead alloy, but I was thinking pure lead, not pewter. Thanks, Breezie
