Hand Forged Nail? And another object...

I found this nail today in a small town that has been around for 150+ years. I did some reading on old nails... it looks like a hand forged to me but I can't tell. What you think?

Also I found this piece of metal which I don't know what it is. Looks like its been broke in half.

Hi, My Guess Is It Was A Hook To Hang Pots And Pans.. The Other Piece Looks Like Part Of A Cast Iron Stove . Posting The Size Would Of Been Helpful...Thanks

the first one is hand forged, I think it's a door nail, way back when the nails were used to hang doors, the nails were driven through and then folded over to prevent them from coming out

With it being hand forged, does that mean its older than a square nail?

yes, they are older, hand forged were inserted in a whole in an anvil, cutoff, and then struck with a hammer to make the head, newer ones were made by machine (IE square flat heads)
