I think this is a Chisel for shoe'ing ?
I just dont think it is unless someone was hammering on the top and bent it. I never saw a blade with a bend on top, and I had quite a collection. Also looks too thick. The older blades didnt need a hole, they were just wedged in. It may be an ancient homeade one, I guess.SWR said:wood or block plane blade
Good pic Mojjax. I have never seen an iron (blade) like that and I sold a ton of antique planes. I dont think it has a hole in it though, and its a bit thick, but your pic looks convincing. Mitre blades also have a very narrow width. There is no hole in that blade. The screw tightens up to it.mojjax said:It might of been to a Mitre plane .
