It looks like a bell but its a hollow button.

Nice hammered :) I think your Silver button might be a hawking bell :P

I thought that at first. Definately a button.

Great finds! A picture of those hallmarks in the silver ring would be interesting and surely tell a tale. HH, Mike

I think the silver button is the Real gem of the hunt--but it appears that you will blow last year's record away with the hammered coins this year!

Best Wishes,

I was pleased with it, as it has nice hand made decor & the loop is still on. Shame the plough hit it, but it could be knocked out, one day.

that button is cool & the penny is stunning. i"v really got to get over there & do some hunting one day.

Great finds again, and of course the hammered sure helps the count, and its
in wonderful condition too. One of the best finds I can see is the cut quarter
button, really neat, a person does not find many of those! Still don't understand
how those quarter buttons ever kept a quarter jacket closed though...

insurmountable .... things in two hours

In case you didn't realise, this is 2 peoples effort in 2hrs 45mins (so over 5 hours man effort). I nearly always detect with my Dad (although I keep all the finds).

Still I've put in a 10hr day, and nothing comes close to your finds.
Just another great day for you, Congrat's on the silver button
