Welcome home Lance. Those are some great finds. The seal is really cool. Looks like you had a great time. How many folks were hunting with you?

Good work, Lance!
It must be nice to see the history over there
just coming of the ground!

That must have been a dream come true! Terrific finds. I read that Jimmy's granddaughter is really sick, lets all pray for her to get better fast.

Congrat's Lance.....I would love to go over for a couple week's myself, seem's like the place to hunt seeing all the UK stuff lately.Seal's look awesome...Thank's for giving us a peek.HH!!

One of these days I'm going to have to get over the pond for a hunt. I wish our history went back that far. Nice finds.

That must have been a blast! Those are some really awsome finds. Glad you made it back safely.

How much does that trip cost on average? Might be a nice trip to take next year. HH,
Donny

Lance, any Roman coins found? Did anyone find a gold coin?

I would love to go on that tour. I would be the dude to find the hoard of Roman gold coins. hahaha

Fantastic finds Lance! Seal matrix is awesome with some nice detail, looks Medieval. The lion button on the right looks German. The last hammered looks like around 1100-1200, Sierra's team probably IDed everything on the spot. Nice trip and HH, Mike

Hey Mike, thanks, You hit it right on the head. The Seal Matrix is 14th century, the last coin is Henry III 1216 to 1272. No one was sure about the lion button, but you very well could be right. They thought it was 1700's

Hey Kirk, there were 15 Roman coins found this year, (They keep escaping me), There were no gold coins, but several other gold items found.

Donny, it depends on the year (pound to dollar ratio) and what your airfare from where you live costs, and if you share a room or want a private one. The tour with sharing a room is was a little over 3K plus your airfare. Believe me it is worth it. This was my second time and I am already planning on next year. Save your Pennies...

Hey Prober, yes Jimmy's grandaughter hurt herself really bad and needs all our prayers. Jimmy was not able to go this year because he was spending all his time with family..There is some addresses to send cards and donations in this months Western and Eastern. Lets all see if we can help....Lance

Hi comfyinvermont
Lance, Glad you had a great time over here.
Those are excellent finds especially the seal, never found myself but I'm sure
I'll be lucky one day.

Hope you all make it over one day.

HH
Dave.

Great finds! Were you able to bring them back or are they still in the UK?

Hey Lance, the lion button probably dates around the mid 1800s, pre WWI for sure. I noticed the price you paid for the trip, outrageous!!! I went to Colchester, the oldest documented town in England, had home cooked meals that were very good, and great hospitality. The price was less than $1600 with accommodations and airfare for 7 days of detecting pure where ever you wanted to detect in some prime areas. Colchester Treasure Hunting is by far a great deal, he has raised his prices a little since 2004 however, I can not express my satisfaction or a better deal than this having done it first hand. I was also submersed into the British culture, Colchester will ensure your good time, he is a treasure hunter like us and knows what people want! HH, Mike

Good finds.

Not had a Seal Matrix that good myself in all my years, so a rare & nice piece. Shame about the top.

The Henry III is in good shape. Hammered are harder for me to get than roman. However they can be a trashy signal. (this year so far - 108 Roman to 20 hammered)

Nice finds Lance,

Looks like a pretty productive hunt. Those silvers must have been nice to get. That is a expensive trip. I'd like to take it one day. I know a few guys who have went and hunted with jimmy to.

HH Jer
