I'm working on getting those pics small enough to post. It was found on Long Island, NY.

I see the cross but I dont recognize it. Its very corroded with a hole eaten through it. I guess you cleaned it or the waves shined it up. Interesting. Would like to see the back.

Well certainly looks like a Hammered coin :) nice find :o could be one of the Crusaders coins :read2: but pinning a ID on this coin will be very hard :-\

Could be one similar to this :dontknow:

Thats a tough one!

This picture makes it look more like Lead? Are you sure it is Silver?

I would suggest to take it to any pawn shop to test for silver. Im thinking also that its some other metal because silver should be black, even greenish in a saltwater environment.

Don't be thrown off by the color, I tried to enhance the image a bit, plus that shot is under a regular light bulb so it's on the reddish side.
