Looks 17th century if not a little older !. Pity there's not much detail left, the style of the remaining letters does look old. It could of course be a more modern copy in a very distressed state, hope its old. :thumbsup:

I don't believe it to be a hammered coin although it has been hammered 'somewhat' after its production.

Doesn't look like a US or UK copper coin. It looks to be foriegn, probably late 18th century.
