Hi all,
My dad got this in a grab bag...the other side is toasty, hard to out out anything but this side isn't too bad. Any help with ID would be appreciated!
Thanks 20191123_170818.jpg

Looks Roman (alter type reverse), whats the front look like?

Might be a imitation of a 'Consecratio', circa AD270.

Thanks guys for the lead, I dont think its a repop, looks legit to me. Should I try lightly cleaning it for my dad to see what the other side might have? (Peroxide bath?)

No-one said a repop. I stated it could be a barbarous 'imitation' which are made around 280AD. (ie. a local issue/copy that circulated as real) At this point it's hard to make a judgement either way. But a bronze coin of Claudius Gothius II is fairly likely as well.

Thanks Crusader, I wasn't thinking about an old imitation. Next time I see my dad I'll see what else we can see on it
