Half Reale & Wheatie

Went out to the fields this afternoon for a 3 hour hunt. Didn't get much throughout most of the hunt, but managed to grab a nice '39 wheatie. On the walk back to the car I was swingin' the E-trac, and came across a solid 12-32 signal. I like this number as it's been Spanish silver pieces in the past. I wasn't disappointed this time either. Down in the hole about 4" was a nice 1/2 cut 1 Reale. It's a Philip V shield type. Could use a bit of help with the date range. Good luck to everyone out there!

Happy Hunting!

Seville mint. Nice find.
Don....

Always a help Mackaydon...I'm getting better at this. I thought it was 1700-1746 and I was 98% sure it was a Seville mint mark. My confidence isn't quite there with the ID, but I guess I could be a little more sure of myself in the future. Thanks again for the help...I surely appreciate it!

dirtdigger,
My pleasure.
You keep finding them and a lot of us here will help you with the ID.

I'll try my hardest to keep finding them! Thanks again!

Re: Half Reale & Wheatie

love the title...cause that was my day yesterday...minus the reale :tongue3: :tongue3: :tongue3:

Yesterday I got some mid 1700's buttons, buckles and musket balls...and a wheat...

gotta wonder how many millions of wheats left in the ground and wonder how they get into every nook and cranny out there.
