After getting my errands done for the day I packed up and went to the big barn.I didn't make it out to the barn but I hunted around the house area. I can not believe all the iron in the ground there...not to mention that nasty ole tin! It was one of the most difficult hunts I have been on and the 'keeper' finds were hard to come by.

I had pockets full of stuff and left a couple of piles of finds at various places...horse shoes, nails, washers and other unknown stuff but here are the select few that I kept ;)

First keeper.... 1954 Wheat......next regular penny 1965....MY VERY FIRST OLD KEY ;D ...another reed....a snap with a 'W" on it...or a 'M' if you turn it upside down ;) ...a buckle...another TAX token and of course bullets.

I had lots of fun but wow am I tired!

Nana ;)

Well at least you know that the older stuff is there. Once you clean out the junk the better finds will come through. I'm going through the same thing at the location I'm detecting at. Hang in there and be patient.

Nana,

sounds like you did some digging today.

On the snap; are you sure it is a ?'W" on it...or a 'M' if you turn it upside down and not a
"M" on it...or a "W" if you turn it upside down? ;)

have a good un.....................

Nana...You sure have been hitting some nice places to hunt lately....but those old farms are murder....so much scrap in the ground...wherever something went kapoot, thats where it stayed....good Luck...and I agree...once you clear out the trash ...it will be treasure city!

Nana, nice relics! Maybe that key opens the strong box full of gold coins that's buried there! Well, it doesn't hurt to dream, right, lol! Good luck!

Nice hunt, Nana.

LOVE that old key! (i have a collection)

Sure wish I had your weather. Enjoy !
HH

Great job Nana! You've really gotten consistent. It seems you find at least one keeper each hunt. Can't say that for myself. :D

Is the tax token AL or MS like the one you found the other day?

Kent

I know what you mean Nana, half of the old place's I go to Sanford N Son couldn't handle.Great find's and good luck

I think it would take years to get all the unwanted stuff outta there! I have this really bad habit of straying off course. There is just so much to cover! I'll look over at a certain area and think....gosh...I bet that's a good spot...then I get there scan for a bit and then look around and think...gosh....I bet that's an even better spot...and then before I know it.....the sun is going down and it's time to go home! :-\

Kent...I think this token is from Alabama. The Mississippi token has a square hole in the middle and Alabama has round ones. But...this one is different. It says Sales tax token and the first two I found at the cellar has Luxury tax token. I would have never thought I'd have a tax token collection....was really leaning toward a silver coin collection! :D But that's ok....I'll take 'em.

Thanks yall!

;)

Nana,
i TOTALLY do that :-\

and worse; 'cuz i'll get spotting wildflowers for transplanting, or something else WAY off course :-\

I wander too. I can't just pick a spot and work on it for some reason. I want to, but I keep looking at that other spot, and thinking there might be lots of goodies there, so off I go, but then after digging whatever definite targets are there, or deciding there aren't any, I just HAVE to go see what's under that big tree, or by the doorstep, or well, or "fill in the blank". I would give a chicken with his head cut off a run for his money, lol.

Sounds like your having fun moving from spot, to spot... ;D
Those are some cool looking tokens, WTG!!!
Good luck, & Happy hunting~
