Hal Antony on Jefferson Mining District: MMAC Order of Rejection

Interesting broadcast. He sure has an active mind and can be a little hard to follow at times. I remember listening to one of his broadcasts a few years ago that explained the "layer cake" of federal land ownership and describing the public domain within it. That blew my mind and furthered my interest in mining law and rights. Still trying to learn about the topic.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the danger in what MMAC is proposing. Now I believe I do.
Still, I would like to think the MMAC group is well-intended. Perhaps they didn't realize the approach they are taking jeopardizes miner's rights.
I wonder why the PLP doesn't see this new MMAC approach as a problem? They are partners.
As Hal points out, the Emerald Planet is also a partner. That seems odd.

I would like to hear what Hal or others think about the proposed legislation "Minerals and Mining Regulatory Reform Act" that the MMAC is supporting. I assumed it was geared towards helping out the miner, but now I'm not so sure. He is adept at picking through and deciphering legalese.
