Had too dig 28 Wheaties Before I finally recovered 1 Silver Coin!

This was my 4th visit to "Gopher Hole Park". I was about to change the name of the park to "Wheatie City". Last weekend I dug out 155 coins and 15 whaeties with no silver. . Yesterday I finally dug out a silver quarter after 13 wheat pennies and 7 hours worth of hunting. Total coins was 166 with 14 being wheat pennies. This park is amazing, I've seen very few parks with this kind of concentration of good targets. In 4 trips my total coins dug now stands at 586 coins! 7 have been silver! The ground is extremely dry with quite a bit of damage from the gophers, so digging messy plugs won't do any damage. I'll keep going back until its all cleaned out!

I actually like finding wheat pennies. They tell me that the targets in the ground ARE old enough to produce silver coins. Your perseverance paid off giving you a really nice silver quarter.
