Well seeing all the silver and gold on here made me want to get out in the rain to play a little tonight. At least it wasn't raining very hard. Went to a state park near me and played in the woods for a while. My first target screamed at me and I thought I had a big piece of silver. Dug it out of the hole and still thought I had a nice silver half.
Well it fooled me. I got a pendant from Hawthorn Melody Farms in Ill. From my research tonight they were an amusement park from 1907 - 1970. However the state abbreviations to two letters went into effect in 1963. The quarter I found was 1950 and the wheat's were all from the 40's. So I am guessing this pendant is from the 40's. It is aluminum.
Wheats were 41, 42 and 46. 8 aluminum screw caps and nothing else exciting before it stated raining hard again. At least I got out.

Now that would be a place to hit! it was torn down in 1970. DROOL!!
