Looks like you were blessed on the one more hunt. :)

Nice cross! That is a nice silver find.

Beautiful silver, BHG! Anyone would be proud of that:coffee2:

Looks like your "one more hunt" paid off, that's a nice silver find, thanks for sharing :-)

Its about the size of a quarter...

Maybe if it wasn't my first one I found lol

Congrats on the silver.

Careful... many of those Catholic charms are only silver plated. It should have a hallmark if it is sterling. Still a nice find, and I enjoy researching the saints and styles.

That cross is called a 4 way

"
Four Way Medals are a unique style of Catholic Jewelry. Instead of being a representation of a specific saint or medal the four way medal contains multiple saints.
First, the medal is shaped like a cross. Each arm of the cross contains a representation of the Sacred Heart, the Miraculous Medal, St. Christopher and St. Joseph. The back of the cross contains images of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the back of the Miraculous Medal. Typically the medal also has the words "I am a Catholic, please call a priest." on the back.
Sometimes a four way medal has an additional symbol at its center such as the Holy Spirit or a chalice for First Communion. These medals are sometimes referred to as five way medals. "

SUPERIOR FIND ...

Great stuff

Thanks everyone since i live in a catholic community i was wondering when one was going to pop up... :-)

Lovely silver cross! :icon_thumright: :blob5: :icon_thumright: One of the most artistically finer ones I've seen on t-net. Sometimes sterling silver does NOT have any markings -- for example, I dug an old rosary my second year detecting which had no marking but was solid silver. It is what it is! Have Fun! :cat: Andi
