It's been raining here for the last few days and I've been about to go crazy not getting my daily fix of detecting. Well, the rain quit and I headed out knowing the ground was too wet for me to go to my normal places. I didn't feel like digging a lot of holes in the mud because of the way it would tear up the ground, so I set my detector to a high discrimination to pick up only things in the nickel, copper penny, dime and quarter range. I managed to get in a couple of hours detecting a regularly used soccer field before it got too hot and humid. Total take was 11 quarters, 17 dimes, 1 nickel, 17 pennies, 2 silver rings .025, 1 ring made out of a 1973 penny, and 1 Fossil "Blue" watch. The watch was buried about 3" down in the very back of the soccer goal. With a little cleaning and new battery, I think it will still work. At least I got my fix!

Man, that's a mess of stuff.

Good hunting, and keep diggin'

There sure seem to be a lot of silver rings in Texas! And you seem to be finding them all! Way to go.

This wasn't at my football field. This was a soccer field not far away though. I didn't want to dig in the wet ground at the football field because they keep it pretty well kept. The soccer field isn't as well kept due to the constant use and my digging wouldn't show over the ruts the players make. It's just hard to find a time when it isn't in use, but I'll be back.

Thats some good diggin' pig!
I don't have the luck at soccer fields as you. Must be doin' somethin' wrong I guess.

Keep safe and keep diggin'...
