Hey everyone... I had some great luck today.. I serve at a restaurant over the summers at the jersey shore and actually came back down to the shore to work one last shift today because they were short staffed.. Boy am I glad I did.. I guess In the beginning of the summer I had served an older woman and apparently told her about how much I like coins.. Well today she came back in.. When she left, I saw these three beauties sitting on my table.. This was on top of the cash tip she left me.. What an awesome day.. It's good to know some people still know what real money is..

Very cool!
Nice to see you getting such a cool reward for giving good service.
Congrats!

That is an awesome tip and very generous on her part. Approx. $30 melt value as of today. We need to know if there is a mint mark on the Barber. If it was minted in New Orleans or Philly, then you have a serious coin.

There is no mark on the back... Not too familiar with mint marks, but doesn't that mean it's Philly?

Here are some photos... Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks guys..

No mint mark would be Philly, they stopped minting morgans in orleans in 1904. What would make is special if it was Philly?

very cool! there are still nice people out there, thank you for sharing!

It is the 11th lowest mintage across the entire Barber half series which spanned from 1892-1915. In 1905, Philly only minted 662,000 half dollars. In Good condition, it is valued around $25. Definitely a keeper not to be mixed up with the other junk silver. Exceptionally nice tip.

Thanks for the help... I really appreciate it... That woman is welcome to tip me in silver anytime...

Next time, I will be picking up her check haha.. She definitely deserves it

Nice coins, congrats on the great tip.

It was easily the best tip I have ever gotten.. I will take collectible silver over fiat currency any day..
