H. Pomerantz Inc N.Y

Found this 1937 British Penny today. It has a name plate soldered above the date. "H. Pomerantz Inc. N.Y" Looks like something else may have been soldered to the front. When I googled the name there are several listings that they made broaches out of old coins.

Can't pin this one down. Maybe a repo? Thanks for looking!

This one is George V vs George VI, but might be the same style:

Looks like the same little plate, albeit soldered onto a different area of the coin. If this was the middle part of the brooch it would make sense that it looks like both sides used to have something soldered onto them.

is it plated or something? It seems like it has a bit of a Silver look to it
