Hi; I have to agree with testing123. It appears to be a toasted tombac. It is NOT a GW button ok. They were not made of tombac. To me your find is a nice tombac coat button ok. Good Hunting. PEACE:RONB

I don't see any design at all except for the outer edge. Was probably nice and shiny when it was new.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that button never came from Canada and has no association to the Revolutionary War whatsoever ,that seller embellishes and elaborates his items to no end, I can assure you of that as well

Looks to me like a beautiful, old, but ordinary tombac button. And just to reiterate GWs were not tombac. I think it's a great find!
