Gun violence SIMPLY DOES NOT EXIST. It is a misnomer.

A gun can do only 2 things: It will either FUNCTION or FAIL. Nothing else.

Violence comes from the hearts of men.

When you can regulate the hearts of men, then you can control violence.

I'd love to see them try to legislate that . . . until they can, violence will happen and people will die.

LOL! DON'T need laws to regulate "heart things"; comes from "within"... self-discipline.

Good luck with that one..........

I've always said that if you don't have the good sense to control yourself, others (and that includes government) need to control you.

Therein lies A LOT of unnecessary government.

A large part of that is being honest with yourself.

Thank you for proving my point.

Regulating guns is a fail as far as solving the problem of violence goes.

If you cannot regulate the violent hearts of humans, you cannot stop violence. Therefore, regulating guns only forces RESPONSIBLE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS to be disarmed while the violent will always find a way to acquire guns . . . or even make their own.

Remember the zip gun? Easy to make, very illegal, and very deadly. You'll never see one of those registered.

Well, I don't think we "proved your point", but I do agree with you.

Proof is an elusive thing we'll likely never see on this issue, but I hope we have the good sense to start looking at the things we can reasonably tackle.

The sooner we get started the better. (But good luck with that)
