Looks like half of a hinge that has a limit stop.

At first I thought a bayonette lock lever, but the 2 large holes would serve no purpose for that. I collect and restore old guns and that just seems "to me anyway" to be some sort of very old trigger assembly part. Hopefully someone can give a positive ID.
