I've been digging a site dating from the revolutionary war through the Indian wars in the 1870's. I've recently dug these two items and I have no idea what either could be.
Perhaps the first could be a part to a gun?
It measures 1.5'' long.
The other piece was dug at the same site but in a pit that perhaps dates back to the war of 1812. Its approx. 7 1/2'' long and extremely sharp at the tip! The thinner part of the neck where the tip starts is soft metal. It can be bent fairly easily so I'm thinking it's made of lead? I have no idea what it could possibly be though...
Any help is appreciated!
