Hi from the land of the long white cloud....I would love your id on these if possible....found at an old constabulary site that was manned around the 1869 till about 1878....I dug the trigger guard that was about 6" deep..first look i thought old enfeild and may well be but the angle of the tangs!!! wouldnt stack up unless bent I suppose...also my learned freinds..I dug an unusual bullett close by ..it is about a 1 and 1/4" long and half an inch in diam (.50) and solid, unlike the enfeilds I normally dig at .577".
could the t/guard be of an old adams that they used here ? would appreciate your thoughts on these...thanks for your time and take care all ...
