Gun Butt Plate

I found this Gun Butt Plate and these bullets at the Miners Camp tonight. I don't know anything about bullets so if anyone has any ideas post them for me.

Maybe this site will help you ID your bullets. It's a CW bullet site, but your bullets may be that old.

The butt plate is pretty cool...Get some measurment's for the bullet's,There's some good site's out there to help on the round's.Did you harvest the Muley in your avatar.....One thing on my to do list.....Soon hopefully....HH!!

Yes I did harvest that buck. It was one of my best hunts with a bow

kg6yll,I think that "butt plate" is actually the "tang" of a rifle or musket. It's broken,but the two screws held the breach end of the barrel to the stock.

Nice finds KG - I'm no expert on bullets, but they look CW era to me, as does the gun plate.
