Does anyone have a guide for sash buckles? Shapes date range? I'm trying to date this one I found. It's thin brass.

What does the back look like? There's a website thats uk based for detecting. It has a whole section on these.
Is it a gutter or flat back ? Is it missing a pin attachment? It doesn't look like any I've seen. It looks kinda like a decoration that goes around a dresser or drawer handle. That's also a lot of gold gilt still on it. Either it's been in amazing quality dirt or its more modern. Early 1900s to the 20s.Nothing on it

I’m not sure what it is now. It does have a place for the pin that goes in the middle, maybe it’s the border that came of the frame? I don’t knowI could very well be wrong but it looks more like a decoration, especially having a flat back. Most sash buckles are relatively thick and heavy duty.
This sash buckle I dug is solid. The back has a solid piece for attaching it.I could very well be wrong but it looks more like a decoration, especially having a flat back. Most sash buckles are relatively thick and heavy duty.
