Colin,I believe your spot on mate!Hope he doesn't expect the same as back home,of course a 20 Dollar Double Eagle would be nice! :o :o
 

I dont think I would want to hunt Europe with all the metal detecting laws. You guys have it good and bad. Plus airfare is too much I will stick with the lowly gold and silver we find. :laughing7:

about the metal-hunting in Ukraine complete lawlessness, he took a metal detector and into the field. or in the woods. no license

There used to be a guy on tnet that hunted somewhere near russian border and found lots of world war two nazi stuff. Piles of old guns and stuff

Being in Califorina you have a whole better chance of finding coins from the gold rush era,Here on the east coast is where the old stuff is,but,not as old as what you find back home!!!!!!!!God Bless in your Quest Chris

Yea I hunted while stationed in Germany and you get spoiled . Just about everywhere I went was virgin ground .

Great finds! Good luck in the U.S. I'm skipping my trip to England this year. To get a new detector, but I'll be going next year.
