I found this in Chambersburg, PA today in a field. It reads Guest 1922 and has some decorations on it. Anyone have any idea what this would have been used for or ever seen one like this?

It is part of a larger badge, possibly a civil war era veterans reunion badge. But I have not seen one that said "Guest".

Awesome info just curious, what makes you think this is Civil war era veteran?

I think Jewelry guy has it pretty close to right. I was just guessing about civil war. They had badges like that and they still had quite a few conventions in 1922.

Not sure what that is but it is neat. Cool find! Do you by chance get into any colonial stuff up your way. Im originally from the C-burg/G-castle area and was wondering if I should head upnthat way and acquire permissions around my old stomping grounds.

Yes I do. Those are the places I hunt most. Alot of my customers at work that own 1700s properties let me detect. Its my favorite time period. This is from a property from 1700s outside Chambersburg.
