These 2 watches were part of large jewelry haul that came from the flea market today. The seller had tables full of “costume” jewelry but nearly every single tray had 14k and sterling in them.

I had to grab the Gruen because it was in the box and the Timex was too clean to pass up.

The Gruen isn’t currently working but I’ll have it looked at this next week. My question for that watch is about the band. Would it of come with a metal bracelet or the current fabric strap that it has on now?

The Timex is nearly perfect and seems to keep excellent time. I’ll have to research the model but that shouldn’t be too hard.

Nice Gruen. I would have thought it came with a leather strap when it was new.

That timex has the “waterproof”’mark that seems to be on most of the Marlin models that are brooklyn-hot right now.

As much as I want to sell it ASAP, I’m actually wearing it right now because both of my daily worn watches need small repairs that need to be done at the factory.

It’s not too bad with the flex band (it only pulls out some of my arm hair) and it’s surprisingly light. I’ll give it a proper cleaning and polishing. Hopefully my watches return by then

The timex appears to be a 1968 Marlin. I can read the model 2010 24 68? 2010 is a Marlin model number, 24 is the movement caliber and The last two numbers are the year of manufacture. I would get a nice leather strap and wear it with pride. These are super collectible right now.
