Metal Detecting
Today I went to the local park and I swear my metal detector turned into a grub detector. At least 80% of my plugs had grubs in them.

Time to go fishing with those.

Great, so if you saved them, then tomorrow you gonna show us all the fish you caught right.

Used to have a area I would MD that always turned up some really big worms, I would take a small box to bring them home and put them in my composter. Then when I needed worms I would go digging on the compost pile.

I bring them home to feed to my chickens, they go wild for them.

Grubbin is super trendy in California right now....
Congrats!

Yeah, mostly you don't even have to go diggin'. Shoot, most any city larger than Pulga has people grubbin on every street corner. Get to a city like Los Angeles or San Fran and the sidewalks are crowded with 'em!

Gotta love good ole CA! Just watch where you step. You just might be able to avoid the Grub Poop!

The grubs must be high in vitamins and minerals, you should eat one and find out. :tongue3:

yes, I also kept a lot of worms and grubs for fishing. it is crazy not to if you fish or have kids/grandkids that do

Congratulations on the grubs.

Soon there will be moles all over the property feasting on the grubs and you along with other detectorists will be blamed for the damage.

I have struggled with this decision - although that is a beautiful grub, I'm not voting banner. Congrats anyway.

What do they "ring up" as? :dontknow:

Go back and check your holes in a day or two, if there's a skunk around, it will dig up your holes. Been there, but only because I hunted the same yard two days in a row. Luckily I catch skunks, etc. for a living so the landowner didn't see the damage and I got rid of the skunk and had to fill MY holes back in.

Two weekends ago, I popped out what appeared to be a hibernating FROG...Wow, was that a shock...was not expecting that! Appeared to be alive, not too alert...so I carefully slid him back inbthe hole and carefully covered him back up (after pull-tab removal, of course). Ddf.
