Well today a cpl of us from our group(North Florida Historical Research and Recovery) along with a guest visiting from New Zealand went to start a location here in alachua county, in historic district and of course weather wasn't looking too hot, and we spent more time dodging downpours and lighting and thunder than detecting today. We plan on going back, we were finding all kinds of copper pieces, etc. one particular find had us baffled till mike figured it out. It ended up being a 1920 Lucky Nickel souvenir token , mine looks terrible, glad it really had no great monetary value, as i was digging with a smaller digging tool, and had scrapped the back side of it. It is about 3-4 inches in diameter, and heavy!!
Also found my first all brass shotgun shell casing. , we spent only about 45 mins detecting out of the 3 hrs we were there...lol...darn rain had us running for the cars, or trees

looking forward to getting there again soon, silver is out there somewhere..
