Nice day in my part of Illinois. 47 degrees at 2:25 in the afternoon,
sunny, not much wind.

Ground still frozen.

Got out early this morning; some old foundations in the woods, again
ground frozen. Found a comfortable spot and just waited for deer to pass
by. Good way to spend an hour in the morning, better than going to
church.

On the way back stopped and checked out a few locations. $2.23 in
clad plus one wheat, 1936, no mint mark; few other odds and ends.

Got down further than yesterday, but forget about anything past two
inches, frozen, and it's scrape, and more scrape. Even in open fields
with full sun.

Thursday weather is expected to hold, but snow again after that.

all have a good un.............

Back at one of my homes in Michigan they have about 20 inches of snow on the ground and about 15 inches of ice on the lakes.

I've almost made up my mind to move out east this year. Kind of would like to live in the historic South Carolina low country lands if you get me. But I know I'd hate it there come summer.

Congrat's on the wheatie and clad Sherm.Supposed to warm up around here in the low 50's by the end of the week..40's the weekend.Maybe I'll get to dig up the open hole's I left.Did you notice if any of the deer were buck's...Do alot of shed hunting, can't be far from dropping there rack's..HH!!

Civilman, Seems the best hunting time is in the winter when all the weeds, briars, grass, ticks, chiggers, bugs of all sorts, etc are gone. Too bad the weather and temp. are usually uncomfortable during best times.I'm looking forward to some beach hunting in FL this summer. It'l be hot but easy pickin's.
