Went to my local spot today that I've pounded hard. Nothing for the first couple hours. Went down to a spot where they held a concert this summer and had a hit that rang up as a quarter. Looked down and thought I saw a dollar sized coin laying in the grass. Picked it up and it ended up being a 1967 british penny. Odd, but a first. Kept on swinging. About 75 yrds away had another quarter hit on the machine. Looked down and saw the same looking thing. Weird! Picked it up. British penny. This one looked older. Flipped it over, 1878. Awesome. Swung the machine back over the spot. Another hit. Looked down and saw a penny. Picked it up, Indian head.1906. No way. What is up with this? Swung over the spot again, same signal . Looked down, there it was. Picked it up. 1865 indian head. My mind is going crazy. My oldest coin to date. I'm just in awe that some one was walking around with these in there pocket.
