ground balance CZ20

I think the manual must be wrong. The way I GB mine is to set it in Auto Tune, turn up Sens all the way and volume too. Bob the coil up and down slowly while adjusting the GB knob one way or the other till the threshold is the same tone up as it is near the ground. When it is, turn down Sens. and Volume and if you want to hunt in Discrimination, turn it to 0 or 1. I always had trouble using the push button method to ground balance.

Thanks for input Sandman, I will try that the next time I'm out.
How much effect do you think GB has on the CZ20 as I seem to get plenty of hits in the sand. I'm still pretty new at hunting in the water but determine to learn.

Ground Balance has a lot of effect in even sand as it will get deeper than a detector without GB. The only downside of a CZ-20 is the Saltwater mode is always turned on. The CZ-6a, the land version now has a switch for the Saltwater mode just like a Tiger Shark so you can turn it on or off. The CZ-6a can be carried around your neck and search the waves, but ya can't fall down.

I carry the CZ20 control box around my neck to save weight on the arm and water resistance too while moving it back and forth underwater. This makes it more comfortable to use. I smeared silicone sealant on the pinpoint rubber button to save it from ever leaking. The new CZ-21 has a different upgraded button.
