grinding stone

I have known about this for a while i thought it would share it with the board.? I think it is an native American grinding stone.? I have been told its around 300 years old and some people think its much muich older than that.? You think it would be worht it to look around or do some detecting?? ?Let me know what you guys think!

That may be a grinding spot but it could also just be natrurally made spot, also is that an old rock wall behind it in the background?

rock walls are all over the place up here

I forgot to mention that ts about a 1foot in depth and the diameter is about 2feet
 

Hey Jamie, looks like something not natural to me but I think there's hidden treasure everywhere! I would for sure do some detecting there and along the old rock walls. Dig every signal without discrimination in these areas. Good hunting. Charlie
 

I'd love to have a spot like that to investigate.DEFINITELY worth checking out.I'd bring a heavy rake to get to the forest floor,remove as many of the surrounding leaves as possible.Use your MD, NON-DISC.MODE,CHECK ALL SIGNALS.If you find nothing,try a sifting box,could be some stone artifacts present.Rock walls could have been from military battles.REV. war?GOOD LUCK AND KEEP US POSTED.........!
