Hi there guys and gals. I have been into metal detecting for about 4 years now. After being a long time unregistered creeper of this awesome site, I decided to join the forum. I love history and live in an area rich with british, indian, and civil war activity. Some people think I detect for free money. Well I don't.. that is why I don't hunt beaches and parks ect. My oldest coin ever recovered is a 1754 KG. That day my heart went into a frenzy when I saw that date. Now I clean any new coins and just throw them in the box to save up for the next metal detecting toy. I got to tell you though, what got me into this was finding my first Civil War Bullet and from there it was on! I don't sell the things I find because I did the research I located the target and I dug it. Now I have given some as gifts to landowners who refuse and as gifts for friends ect that might enjoy something I don't really care for like a 1950's matchbox car. I am going on a 2 day hunt tomorrow in an area where Confederates camped, and another area where there was Indian trouble. I do plan to post my finds after that. I will also post my 2013 finds so far this year. You all seem awesome and highly educated and could be a valuable resource to anyone that needs a question answered. Beautiful weather is moving in my digging friends! HH and may you all find something awesome the next day you are out.
P.S. I am the only person I know of that travels to and from work and everywhere else with my Metal Detector and pin pointer in my car because I never know when I might get a free minute or time off work early!!! Its attached to me more than my own head is![tongue3 :tongue3: :tongue3:](https://www.treasurenet.com/smilies/tongue3.gif)
