Hello All!
I've been an active treasure hunter for the past couple of years now. It was an un-fruitful hobby of mine as a child, but ever since I was young, I've had an obsession with history, archaeology and paleontology. After graduating college and getting absolutely nowhere with my degree, I started to wonder if I chose the wrong topic to study; thus, I have been deep into studying local history. I obtained a Minelab Explorer XS metal detector and I've read as much as I could find about local historic village sites, referencing "notes" from the era along with dissretations published online.
I recently found this forum, and since joining have learned an abundance of information from it. It seems like NE Illinois isn't as great of a place to hunt artifacts as other portions of the country(especially civil war sites and most of the east!) Hope to meet some new local hunting friends and learn a great deal more about arrow treasure hunting!
