Went out to the same spot for a two hour hunt tonight. This time I started a little farther into the spot than normal. Started with two different size horse shoes, which are always a welcomed find for me! The smaller shoe is pretty interesting. I also found the head of a massive wrench, that I am assuming was used on the railroad. I also found a 1980 Canadian 25 cent peice, which is nothing special, but I have never found one before. Last hit in the new area were the two junk jewelry earings, only markings "patent pending". Not sure what they invented, but I hope they got it! Haha
For the last 20 minutes I decided to move to the area where I normally hunt just for the heck of it. It was realllllyyyy busy with signals and iron, so I bumped the sensitivity down to 90 and BAM! Found some sterling silver links to a bracelet, which I had found two of the same kind last year. I then proceeded to hit two Indian head pennies (1903 & 1904) on back to back "walk off" plugs. My last two plugs and I was happy to go home with two pretty ladies and silver!
I have been killing Indian heads since I found my first one, six total in about a week. I have not yet joined the 1800s Indian head club yet... That is my next goal!
