Hello all. I am new to your page and it is a pleasure to be a part of it. I have been hunting petrified wood around the Mississippi delta for sometime and I am always finding something new that is of curiosity. I restore and remodel old homes for a living and most of them are pre and post Civil War Era. Myself and my crew usually get to keep anything we may come across that may be of value or just cool. This being my first post I wanted to share this bracelet that I recently acquired. The forged metal looks pretty old and the symbols I have no clue as to the origin. There are no makers marks on the metal. I am legally color blind so The stone has me a little confused. I am not well versed on stones that aren't native to my area. I was thinking maybe turquoise? Any opinions on the stone and the piece itself would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Looks like the turquoise bracelets that were popular in the 70's. But don't take that as a definitive answer. More people should chime in soon.

Oh, and welcome to the forums from a Florida boy.

Perhaps Jade. Perhaps a quality green serpentine. A few other possibilities that elude my brain right now. Not a variety of turquoise that I am familiar with.

Time for more coffee.

Thanks for all of your 2 cents so far everyone. Like I mentioned before I am legally color blind so any info is appreciated. Seeing that I'm not looking to profit there is no sense in taking anything to anyone in person. You folks are great. I look forward to sharing more!
