Green and Silver, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

First time out with my "new" second hand Sovereign GT that I got from ebay, and out comes this silver ring. My wife informs me that it is in fact an "Irish friendship ring" and the stone is probably an emerald, I think the stamp says 925 on the inside.
Other interesting finds include the steel ring (what the?) and some dollar coins and quarters. Theres also a token that lets "a kid be a kid", so I'm gonna hang onto that one.
All in all it was a pretty interesting weekend, when I got to the beach there was this dude detecting with a DFX, and while I'm all thumbs putting my detector together on the beach for the first time, and taking about 20 mins, he rocks up about 20' from where I am, and detects this gold ring from the shoreline! Got a feeling it might have been a plant though......
Something tells me that the sov and I are going to be spending a lot of time together.
