Got in a hunt yesterday and had a great day! Was slow at 1st and then popped a few wheats from the thick muck. They came out as shiny as the day they were made, then Popped the 45 walker, My 4th walker this year! Got a few more wheats, a few buffalos, and the thinnest, most toasted Merc I've ever seen. Ash/water has a horrible effect on silver lol. Then finally I moved to the token honey hole and hunted tokens with the guy that was there doing it already. He showed me the ropes and away I went, I was hips deep with the waders on using the carrot pinpointer underwater just feeling for them. While popping tokens, a nice 1883 V nickel came out too. Found out the tokens are from roughly the 1930s, What a neat spot, I'd love to know the story of how they all ended up there! And man that water was cooooold! ❄️❄️
